If you’ve found your way to this page, chances are you’re tired of feeling unwell, frustrated by vague symptoms, or simply not getting the answers you need. I understand — I’ve been there too.
I’m Anika — a qualified Nutritional Therapist, Registered Naturopath (Assoc.), and Master Herbalist.
Like many of my clients, I once struggled with my own health and felt let down by conventional approaches. Through nutritional therapy and natural support, I was able to reclaim my energy, balance, and wellbeing — and now I help others do the same.
Whether you're dealing with fatigue, digestive issues, hormone imbalances, or low mood, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’ll help you uncover the root causes and create a personalised, realistic plan to support your body’s natural ability to heal — so you can feel like you again.

My journey into natural healthcare began long before my professional career. Growing up on a farm, I watched my grandparents use food and herbs to treat various health conditions, which sparked my lifelong passion for holistic health practices.

My journey into natural healthcare began long before my professional career. Growing up on a farm, I watched my grandparents use food and herbs to treat various health conditions, which sparked my lifelong passion for holistic health practices.
This knowledge, and an awareness of the body’s natural ability to heal, later helped me identify the root causes of my own health challenges and enabled me to restore balance and health.
Both my early life influences and my own health experiences inspired me to seek formal education in nutrition and ultimately qualify as a Nutritional Therapist.
I completed my professional training with the Natural Healthcare College, a London-based specialist institution known for its rigorous training in nutritional therapy and integrative health.
My studies were undertaken at Level 6 (University Level), equivalent to an honours degree, and included in-depth training in functional nutrition and integrative health strategies.
During my training, I was personally supervised by Jackie Day, a key figure in UK naturopathic education. Jackie is widely recognised for developing the Core Elements for Naturopathic Education and for establishing the Naturopathic National Occupational Standards (NNOS)—frameworks that have been instrumental in defining professional competencies, ethical practice, and the holistic, root-cause philosophy of naturopathy in the UK.
I am deeply committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attend training to remain up to date with the latest advancements in the field.
Through both my personal and professional experiences, I’ve developed a special interest in female hormonal issues such perimenopause and menopause, digestive disorders, genetics and integrative oncology.
I am passionate about strengthening the body’s natural defenses and helping it tap into its ability to heal.
I am registered with Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the Naturopathic Nutrition Association (NNA), and The General Naturopathic Council (GNC).
As a member of the CNHC, a UK government-recognized body, I adhere to strict ethical and professional guidelines, which gives my clients confidence in my skills and practices.

Nutritional therapy is a holistic approach that promotes health through healthy diets and lifestyle changes. It can be invaluable in supporting you towards a specific goal e.g. weight loss, managing a chronic health condition e.g. diabetes - alongside medicinal support - or helping you to make healthy habits that will support long and healthy life.
Here are some notable benefits of nutritional therapy I offer in my Holistic Nutritionist practice:
1. Adopting a healthy diet and lifestyle, as suggested by nutritional therapy, is often associated with a lower risk of various diseases. Prevention is better than cure!
2. Weight management: It can assist in maintaining a healthy weight, which is crucial for overall health. In my practice, I offer sustainable weight loss treatment plans that nourish the body rather than depriving it of vital nutrients and energy, unlike many high-stress plans!
3. Gut health: A balanced diet can support gut health, leading to better digestion and absorption of nutrients, which is prerequisite to good health. Nutritional therapy can help manage symptoms of various digestive complaints, such as acid reflux, bloating, indigestion. As your Nutritional Therapist, I will guide you on the best practices to support balanced micorbiome and digestive health.
4. Energy enhancement: Proper nutrition can boost energy levels, supporting productivity and overall quality of life. Here at Plymouth Holistic Nutrition, we look at the root causes of low energy and fatigue. Adjusting your diet often brings incredible results!
5. Mental health support: Certain nutrients play a significant role in cognition and can support mental health.
6. Hormonal balance: Nutrition can influence hormone production and balance, affecting various bodily functions. Diet rich in phyto-estrogens, in combination with natural supplements, and stress reducing practices, is the best natural way to natural balance your hormones.
In addition to these, nutritional therapy can also contribute to better sleep, balanced imune system, glowing and healthy skin; it may also support your ability to recover and rebound from challenges of modern life!
It’s important to remember that the benefits can vary from person to person, as everyone’s body and nutritional needs are unique!

Naturopathy is a holistic approach to health that focuses on supporting the body's natural ability to heal itself. It combines traditional healing methods with modern science, emphasizing natural remedies like herbs, diet, and lifestyle changes. Instead of just treating symptoms, naturopathy aims to find and address the root cause of health issues. For example, the root cause of difficulties in loosing weight is often imbalanced blood sugar. Addressing this, will support healthy weight.
Naturopaths believe in the healing power of nature, using techniques like nutrition, exercise, stress management, and sometimes therapies like massage to promote overall well-being.
It’s all about encouraging balance and harmony in the body and mind, so you can feel your best!

Nutritional Therapist and dietitians both play vital roles in health, but Nutritional Therapist often take a more holistic, personalized, root cause approach to addressing health issues. While dietitians may focus on dietary management of specific conditions, Nutritional Therapist often consider the broader context of an individual’s lifestyle, preferences, and underlying causes of health problems. This approach allows Nutritional Therapist to address issues such as food sensitivities, chronic inflammation, and overall wellness through tailored recommendations that go beyond standard dietary guidelines. This flexibility and focus on individuality can be particularly beneficial for long-term health issues and chronic conditions.
